For the last couple of weeks I have been working on (re)building the HPSIM environment at work, which has included an upgrade to the latest version (6.2) and “setting it up properly”. My opinion of “setting up properly” included signing the SSL certificate with our internal CA.
One of the more perplexing issues I had was that the Remote Support Advanced Pack was not working and I had no information on why. Trawling the web eventually found a post on the HP ITRC that you need to import the CA certificate into the DESTA service for it to trust HPSIM:
desta cert -trustfile <file>.cer
Restarted the DESTA service and all was happy again
